Open-BPM > The Open-BPM Architectural Portal

Welcome to the Open-BPM Architectural Portal

This site is a portal for the discussion and development of IT Architecture especially in the area of BPM and Open Source Developments. Please explore the portal to see where we have got to in the areas of:

  • Architecture
  • Agile Architecture
  • BPM Architecture
  • Architecture for open-source, including end-user support
  • Implementations of our open architectures

If you want to contribute to our architecture (or develop some implementations) or have any other queries please e-mail me.

I do want to make this site one where people contribute to and therefore will open up access to those who need it to facilitate this.

The aim for 2009 is to provide a hosted mainframe environment (Hosted Hercules). As well as having utility in itself (for learning and for supporting some mainframe open source projects), this will also provide a case history to understand how open source community projects can start and do evolve - and what are the architectural considerations. So far we are very much in the inception phase - a lonely road and one where most projects fail.

Membership

Unfortunately all public portals seem to be under pressure from those who would like to use these facilities as a way of propagating spam, and even this small site is under continuous pressure.

Therefore to contribute membership is required. A very simple process is used to validate membership.

When you request membership an e-mail is sent to you for activation.

The basic membership allows you to comment on news items and download files. The level of access rights depends on how much a person wants to contribute.
